  • 15 Jul 1916 to 16 April 1917 - 1st Battalion - serving on Western Front
  • 28 Apr 1917 - Wounded at Gavrelle on the Western Front
  • 18 May 1917 - Invalided to UK
  • April 1918 - Transferred to Royal Garrison Artillery stationed in Malta

Circumstances of Death

We are trying to establish how Fassett died. His register of effects states that he was "found dead in Pieta". His death is register with the General Record Office in their GRO Army Death Indices (1881 To 1955) under 1918 - DARM - Page 16 - Line 91 and we are attempting to obtain the certificate.
