Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

The war diary states that the battalion moved from Gonnelieu to the front lines at Villers Plouich on the 4th Dec and during the move 8 men were wounded. On 5th Dec the battalion supplied support to the Warwickshire Battalion during which 7 men were wounded. It is not known on which of these days William was wounded.
