Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

The war diary does not give any clues as to how or why Andrew died and there were very few, if any, mentions of casualties caused by enemy fire in June. His Grear War Record states that he died of wounds but his pension card states that the died of disease and his register effects states that his death was at Sheikh Saad. There were no set battles during this part of 1916 and so the likelyhood is that he died of one of the numerous diseases that were rife in that area,
