Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

The battalion were in the trenches at Beaucamp and were ordered to move into postion to attack various trenches near to or on the Hindenburg line. Overall the offensive was effective and was carried out alongside the now famous Battle of Cambrai tank warfare.
