Circumstances of Death

Albert is listed as having died of gas shell posioning on 7th November 1918. The Brigade war diary records almost daily occurances of men being wounded by gas shells, and we cannot be sure which day Albert was gassed on. At that time the Brigade were based just south of Le Quesnoy.
