Circumstances of Death

Joseph died of Dysentery at Worms Prisoner of War Camp on 3 October 1918 (Red Cross Record). He had been taken prisoner on on 28th May 1918 at Hermonville during the Third Battle of the Aisne. He was one of 101 other ranks who were reported missing at the end of the actions near Hermonville.
