Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

John is listed as being killed in action on 21 Nov 1915. The war diary is not that helpful in identifying when John was wounded and neither have the Warwickshire Roll of Honour nor the Kineton in the Great War book have been able to identify the day.

All that can be said is that in the days leading up to his death the battalion were in the front line trenches north of La Brique and were subject to eratic spells of shellfire, click the map reference C.21.c.2.4 for a map of the area.
