Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)           

On 25th April 1918 the 2nd/4th Battalion were in the front lines in the area of Cachy which is just west of Villers-Bretonneux. They were subject of very heavy shelling suffering a number of casualties including Arthur. Later that day the battalion was relieved in the lines by Moroccan troops.
