  • Horace was registered at birth as Horace Henry C Wiblin
  • In February 1897 George Phipps of Dry Sandford was ordered to pay 1s 6d per week to Rose Ann Wiblin of Cumnor until the child was 16.
  • In August 1897 George Phipps of Dry Sandford was charged with being 15s in arrears of a Bastardy Order in favour of Rose Ann Wiblin
  • In 1902 Horace's mother Rose Annie Wiblin married Charles Edward Woolloff at Hinton Waldrist
  • We have not established why Horace was known as Horace P on his War Grave, someone has added an handwritten P to the typed CWGC record
