Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
The war diaries for the Italian campaign are not available online all we can say is that William died at the 29th Stationary Hospital in Cremona three days after the end of the Battle of the Piave River. At some stage in the future a visit to the National Archives is planned in order to obtain copies of the diaries which will give us more information.| Personal & Family History |
