Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)           

Frederick died of his wounds at either the 3rd or 29th CCC or the 3rd Australian Casualty Clearing Station. It is not clear when and where he was wounded with the Corps being constantly in action. During the preceeding few days the Battalion were in Meaulte and Havrincourt areas.
