Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
On 2 Nov 1918 the battalion took part in the successful attack no Marsches, little detail is given in the war diary and after the attack the battalion marched to billets in St. Aubert. Casualties numbers are not given but John was killed during this operation and is one of 31 men from the battalion buried in Crucifix Cemetery.
