21 Jul 1917 - Transferred to Royal West Kent in the field

Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)           

The battalion war diary for 24 Sep 1918 records that the battalion was in the lines at St. Emilie and "A Coy with B Coy in support unsuccessfully attacked Egg Post and Fag Support. A small detachment under 2/Lt A.B. Cullerne established itself in a small trench 400 yds south of Egg Post.  Coys were withdrawn to Ronssoy with the exception of the detachment previously mentioned, which could not be relieved in daylight".
 
Arthur was killed during these actions.
