Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

Arthur was wounded during the period 28 Oct to 1st Nov 1914 during the Battle of Gheluvelt where the Battalion was instrumental in securing victory for the Allies. He was taken to No 4 Casualty Clearing Station where he died from the wounds on 2nd Nov 1914
