Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)           

Walter is listed as being killed on 25 Apr 1917 and the war diary for that day is very brief and states that they were holding the Brown line near Savy in the Saint Quentin sector. They provided working parties to provide wiring and improvements to the line. No mention is made of casualties.
