Circumstances of Death

John is listed as dying of wounds on 17th September 1916. From his service records we know that he was wounded in action on 16th September 1916 and died at the XV Corps Main Dressing Station / 63rd West Lancs T.F. Field Ambulance the next day (17th). It is 2pm on 26 Oct 2024 and the NZ Library website is down, we will transcribe the war diary when the website is back online.
