Circumstances of Death

William is listed as being killed on 7 Nov 1915. His pension card and the 1st Battalion war diary briefly tells us that William was one of 5 men accidentally killed by the explosion of a "dud german ariel torpedo" which had been taken into their dug out by a Pvt Evans.
