Circumstances of Death

William died of Syphilitic myelitis, an extremely rare condition, at the Temporary Military Hospital, Gosforth, Northumberland. He had spent 4 months and 24 days in hospital prior to his death.

    he did enlisted in Coventry and the Royal Warwickshire Regt and so clearly had connections to the area despite living in Leicester.
