George died of Enteric fever (Typhoid) on the 17th October 1916 at the 21st General Hospital in Alexandria, Eygpt. The following obituary appeared in the Stratford Herald on 27th October 1916. Stratford Herald - Friday October 27th 1916 Mrs. Ryman of Victoria Cottage, Shipston Road is notified by the Record Office of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment that her brother succumbed to enteric fever at the 21st General Hospital, Alexandria on 17th inst. Private Knight who was 36 years of age enlisted on the 9th November 1915 and sailed for India on the 25th |
