Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

Research reveals that George was hit by a shell explosion which removed one of his hands during an attack on enemy lines at Rue du Bois, despite a search after the battle his body was never recovered and he is presumed to have died from the wounds suffered..
