Circumstances of Death

Arthur is listed as dying of wounds on the 10th February 1916 at one of the Military Hospitals set up in the Amara area. The 2nd Battalion war diary does not give us any clues as to when Arthur was originally wounded nor can we find any newspaper reports of his death. Therefore we are unable to comment about the date and place that Arthur was originally wounded. The National Archive reference for anyone wanting the War Diary is WO-95-5140-3.
