Circumstances of Death

James is listed as dying of wounds on 12th November 1914, probably at a Casualty Clearing Station in Poperinghe. We do not know when James was wounded and the 2nd Battalion war diary entries from the 28th October to 9th November inclusive are missing from the diary. No casualties are recorded for the 10th, 11th and 12th.
