Circumstances of Death

Fredericks service record shows that he was wounded on 2nd Oct 1915 and taken to 10th Casualty Clearing Station at Remy Siding near Lijssenthoek where he died later the same day. The 6th Battalion was diary has no entries between 29 Sep 1915 when they were in the lines at St. Eloi and 4 Oct 1915 when they moved to Steenvorde and therefore we are unable to comment on where and how Frederick was wounded.
