Circumstances of Death

Medical records show that Harold was admitted to the 34th Casualty Clearing Station, based at Greyvillers, with valvular disease of the heart and transferred to 11th Ambulance Train on 6 Oct 1918 before being admitted to 1st Birmingham War Hospital at Rubery where he died of Double Mitral Heart Disease and Acute Pneumonia on 18 Oct 1918.
