Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)           

Military records show that Andrew was accidentally killed on 31 Oct 1917. The war diary does not mention any incidents and merely states:
Beaudricourt 31/10/1917 - Sports and Training. END

We have not yet been able to find out any further information about the nature of the accident that killed Andrew.

Andrew's father, Andrew Snr was a Sergeant in the Household Cavalry and there is a report in the Stratford Herald in October 1901 which describes Andrew Snr coming to the rescue of his wife Elizabeth was was being assaulted by a man later convicted of that assault which took place in Ilmington.
