- Arrived in France on 26 Mar 1915
- Declared wounded and missing on 10 May 1915
Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
On 10th May 1915 Frederick was declared wounded and missing in action and the war diary states that there were in the trenches in the area of Bellewaarde and Bellewaarde Lake when they subject of an incessant artillery bombardment that started at 7am and finished 9 hours later at 4pm causing very heavy casualties, this was followed by a weak attack on their lines by the enemy who were "completely overwhelmed by excellent fire discipline" from both rifle and machine gun fire. It is assumed that Frederick was one of the casualties of the bombardment which is why he was never found.| Personal & Family History |

Other Information
- The Warwickshire Roll of Honour Book failed to find Frederick but here are the reasons we chose Frederick
- Frederick was born in the Liverpool area to Henry born Wicken, Northants and Mary born Prescott, Lancs. The family moved from the Liverpool area to the Northants/Warwickshire border area between 1901 and 1911 and mother |Mary moved back after the death of Henry and Frederick.
- In 1911 and 1912 (at least) Frederick was working for Mr. James Herbert Warr at Harwoods House in Chesterton and that is clearly why he is on the memorial
