Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

The war diary does not really give us any definitive information about when Maurice was wounded. On the day (13 Apr 1918) he died of his wounds the Battalion were in the area of La Creche where they had been position since 11 Apr 1918. His register of effects states that Maurice died in a casualty clearing station and we know that both the 2nd and 15th Casualty Clearing Stations used Ebblinghem Military Cemetery in April 1918.
