Circumstances of Death

Frederick is listed as dying of wounds on 31 Mar 1918 and is buried at Etaples to where he was evacuated from the front lines to one of the 16 military hospitals stationed nearby.  The war diary for the 14th Battalion did not survive the fighting but an account of the actions which led to Frederick being wounded on either 25th or 26th March can be found below.
