Circumstances of Death

As yet we have been unable to find any details about the circumstances of Thomas's death, with the war diaries not being available online and the fact that the book we own that deals with the history of the 14th Battalion does not mention the 27 Feb 1918 specifically but it does seem that the Battalion were preparing to make an attack across the River Piave in early March before torrential rain washed away temporary bridges being constructed by the British Army.
