Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)           

At the time that Algenon died of his wounds at one of the 16 or so military hospitals in the Etaples area the battalion were in the lines on the Hindenberg Line and were were involved in actions on a regular basis. It has not been possible to identify the date and exact place that Algenon was wounded.
