Circumstances of Death

John is listed as dying of wounds on 10th June 1917 at one of the military hospitals in the Le Treport area. It is possible that he was wounded in the preceeding few days during the earlier stages during the Battle of Messines, however we cannot be certain of that as there were casualties throughout May 1917.
