Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

One source states that Harry died of Trench Nephritis at the Aldershot Military Reception Hospital. The source of Trench Nephritis, a kidney infection, was not estabalished and it caused some 35,000 casualties amongst British troops. Later evidence showed that trench nephritis may have been due to hantavirus which is carried by rodents. However his Pension Card states he had died of Brights Disease at Aldershot, Brights is also an infection caught from by rat urine.

It is not clear if Harry ever served abroad and we have not been able to find a medal card which suggests that he did not.
