| Wilfred is listed as dying of wounds on 13th March 1917 and was buried in Varennes, at that time the 4th, 11th & 47th Casualty Clearing Stations were based in Varennes. The 2nd Battalion war diary does not indicate what casualties were incurred and it is not known on which day he was wounded. |
