It is not clear on which day Arthur was wounded, in the days prior to his death the battalion were in the Welsh Ridge Sector of the Hindenburg Line and suffered casualties in the days prior 21st or 48th Casualty Clearing Station at Ytres which used Rocquigny-Equancourt Road British Cemetery.
