Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
| Joseph is listed as being killed in action on 4 May 1917 during the Battle of Arras. The 3rd Field Survey Company were a specialised unit and we have, along with others, been unable to find the War Diary and so we are unable detail the events surrounding Joseph's death. |
