Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)           

Cyril died of pneumonia at the Kasvin Military Hospital in Tehran where he had been admitted on 22 Dec 1919, he was declared as seriously ill on 27 Dec and dangerously ill on the 28 Dec and he died on 2 Jan 1920. He is buried in the Tehran War Cemetery.
