Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

The battalion war diary is not very specific so we have also used the diary of the 1st Bn Royal Irish Fusiliers. It has not been possible to identify on which day William was wounded and as he was treated some 33km's away from the battalions position in the 2 days before he died at either the 2nd Canadian or the 3rd Australian Casualty Clearing Stations in Esquelbecq then we will not provide any maps to avoid confusion.
