Circumstances of Death

Robert is listed as dying of wounds on 6 Jul 1916 during the Battle of Albert. He is buried at Heilly Station Cemeter which was used by the 36th and 38th Casualty Clearing Stations for the burial of their dead.

2/7/1916 to 8/7/1916: Company engaged in Great Offensive. Night of the 8th Company billetted in Albert. END
