Circumstances of Death

Harry is listed as dying of wounds on 29 Apr 1916. The Battalion war diary does not list him by name and we cannot identify on which day he was wounded. We dp know that the Battalion did not take part in any actions in the days before his death and that they were on working parties at Bienvillers from the 19th to the 24th and in the trenches at Monchy on from the 25th to the 28th Apr and that the Battalion had wounded casualties on 22nd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th April.
