Circumstances of Death

Sidney died when the Royal Aircraft Factory BE2e number A3154 aircraft he was flying in near Vimy, carrying out artillery spotting, was shot down by the infamous German pilot The Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen, having narrowly escaped him two weeks previously.
