Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
John died of wounds incurred on 7 Aug 1917 near Wulverghem when supporting the 3rd Australian Division during the initial stages of the Battle of Passchendaele. He died on the 8 Aug 1917 but we have not yet been able to which medical unit he was treated at.
