Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
** Frank was originally buried in the La Veuve French Military Cemetery, St. Gibrien and the CWGC records suggest he was exhumed on 15 Jan 1924 and moved to La Cheppe. On the 4th June 1918 the battalion were in the front line trenches in Bois d'Eclisse (Elcisse Wood) just west of Chaumuzy when they were hit by enemy artillery fire. Frank was badly wounded and never recovered from his wounds. He died the following day, presumably, given his burial information, in a French Military medical facility.
