Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

David was discharged from the Royal Field Artillery Hospital at Charlton Park on 28 May 1917 after catching Incipient Pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB) while on active service. He died of TB at home on 26 March 1918 and, for some reason, does not have a War Grave.

Please note that the Warwickshire Roll of Honour gives Denis Launcelot Harris as the D Harris of the RFA listed on the Lower Shuckburgh, however he has no known links to Shuckburgh and the Roll of Honour at Lower Shuckburgh gives the name as David Harris. We know that the David Harris in this page died locally and lived in Shuckburgh with his wife Daisy and their 3 children.
