Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

Arthur survived the war while serving in the Canadian regiment Lord Strathcona's Horse and Canadian 2nd Division Signals. At the time of his death he was working as a Radio Operator on the old WW1 Freighter SS Western Plains when he died suddenly in Thameshaven, Essex.

Arthur had returned to Canada at the end of the war and was discharged from the army with the kidney disease Albuminurie following treatment at the Spadian Military Hospital in Toronto. In 1910 he had been discharged from the Royal Navy with lung issues and his records also seem to indicate continuing lung and kidney health issues.
