Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

We are more or less certain that Frank was wounded on 15th Sept when his battalion attacked enemy positions north of Delville Wood including Switch Trench which was captured by the allied. They also occupied Green and Brown Streets east (right) of Delville Wood. Lines were consolidated per the below map which shows the front line before and after the attacks. He died in the 63rd Field Ambulance at Becordel
