Circumstances of Death
| Arthur is listed as dying of wounds on 27 Aug 1917. He was buried at St. Sever which was home to eight general, five stationary, one British Red Cross and one labour hospital along with No. 2 Convalescent Depot. We do not know exactly when or where Arthur was originally wounded although 143rd Company MGC were in the St. Julien area for all of October and they sustained regular casualties, therefore we cannot comment on how Arthur was wounded. |
