Circumstances of Death
|
Clement is listed as dying of wounds on 26th April 1918 per the CWGC. He was buried at Vignacourt British Cemetery which at that time was home to the 20th and 61st Casualty Clearing Stations. The 2nd Battalion war diary doesn't give any real clues as to when and where Clement was originally wounded and therefore we have not commented on such. The date of death was actually most likely 25th April 1918 as all military records give that date as does the original Grave Registration report on the CWGC's website. |
