Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
The records available contain conflicting information regarding George's death. His Solidiers Who Died in the Great War record states that he died of wounds and his Pension Card states that he died of disease. The war diary is of no assistance other than to confirm that the battalion was in the front lines. We have therefore decided not to speculate on when or where he may have been wounded or what disease he might have died of.
