Circumstances of Death

Ernest died of Influenza and Pneumonia on 23rd October 1918 in a Military Hospital in Lahore. He was buried the following day in the Lahore Cantonment North Cemetery, however the CWGC have found it impossible to tend to war graves there and Ernest is now remembered on the Karachi 1914-18 War Memorial.
