Thomas is listed as dying of wounds received in action at on 11th July 1916 in the 13th General Hospital at Boulogne. We have not been able to identify exactly where and when Thomas was originally wounded, but we believe it was around the 7th or 8th July when the 2nd Battalion, along with a battalion of the Worcestershire Regiment, captured the village of Contalmaison incurring casualties of three hundred men. |
